I was an Environment artist on the MMO Defiance. My duties included world building, set dressing, terrain sculpting/painting, and creating props. The majority of my time on the project was spent building up the terrain and locations. I occasionally would model and UV props(there was a separate dedicated texture artist) and structures as needed, and also create new textures where needed.
I worked closely with the art director and lead artist in creating benchmark terrain and points of interest. Near the end of production I also managed a small team directing artists responsible for terrain sculpting and set dressing.
